Its been a couple of months since I completed my course with you. I have now set up my business in wedding and portrait photography and have set up a website	Anna Lincoln-Smith specialises in portrait photography and prides herself on her ability to bring out the warmth and spirit of her subjects, in any setting.
I know it has been a long time since i did your course(March 2005) but feel that a thank you is still in order, as the week spent in Poole at your studio was money well spent. It gave me the get up and go for it attitude, and i have been doing weddings & portraits professionally for three years and would like to think that your time and input has gone a long way into my picture taking, dont get me wrong it can be very lonely at times when your working, but the look on the Bride&grooms faces when you deliver the images just does not get any better. I would always recommend your course to anyone wanting to be serious about this profession, and even three years on if i call you for advice nothing seems to much trouble. Just wanted to say a huge thanks for last week! I had a fantastic time and learnt loads. Wishing I was still there instead of sitting at my desk at work!!	Since I have done your course, my photography and confidence has improved greatly. My work is now winning competitions and my customers tell they love my work.
I’d like to say thank you to Brook’s Studio the three: Paul, Sophie and Stacy plus Elizabeth for the amazing weeks course in April that is looking to have changed my life.. like so many others I can now say my business DAWs Photography was launched on 1 July 2009’ Since the course life has been busy and my studio opens on 3 August 2009 in Lincoln. I have to say modelled on Brook’s with the overhead lighting gantry but missing Sophie and Stacy. I’m still in contact with Dean and Hilary good fellow students from Poole. Lots of time spent in non photography getting all started, the website up and running www.dawsphotography.co.uk thanks to the super training course. The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers also run details all helping to attract customers. First booked wedding in Toronto thankfully now getting a little closer to home. The day with children in the studio set me up for a first with five children 10, 6,5,3 & 2 a session to remember. Firstly I just wanted to say a big thank you to Paul, Stacey and Sophie for making my week with you very pleasant and enjoyable. I have checked the DVD’s and all of the images are on there, thank you. I now have my website up and running and am looking forward to a busy 2009 taking lots of photographs.	I've now got my website live and on line. I've two weddings already in the diary and a portrait session next weekend. On the 24th / 25th I've two full days of portraits to do for a gymnastics club. All high key, around 30 minutes allocated for each family. So things are starting to move fast.

Thanks to everyone at Brooks Studio, you help and time have been invaluable.	I attended your course last year and loved every minute of it. I wanted to say a huge thank you to Paul and Sophie for all the help and guidance on the course... I can happily say it has worked for me and I am pleased to say that I've finally launched my business... The time since the course has been more than just a little bit busy.. I am still working full time but my photography is taking up more and more time now.. so here's what I've been up to. January, I had one of my pictures picked up by the RNLI to use in their advertising. It now adorns the outside of the lifeboat station just round the corner from me. February saw Focus come and go...lots of money spent...lots of planning, art work, web design and all sorts of fun and games. April and I am invited to write the Pro Blog for 'Digital Photo PRO' magazine (check out page 21 of the May edition on sale this week).. I tell you now...I'm like a cheshire cat over that one. I have just signed up for Yell.com and Google Maps and I have flyers at the designers as we speak....phew.. It's been a rollercoaster...but I'm enjoying..no.. 'Loving' every second of it.... and I have to say that without Paul, Sophie and everyone on the course, I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now.... So thank you...and I hope to hear from you all soon... M Cunningham
I attended one of your wedding courses in April and thoroughly enjoyed it, and thanks to your help I have not used the cameras automatic settings since. I ordered my light meter as soon as I got home and I have been busy re launching my photography with my new skills and fresh approach to my work. I am in the process of designing my ad for the yellow pages and would like to use one of the pictures that I took on the course. First of all thanks for a great course. And of course you were right the complete week was so much better than just doing the singular part of the course. I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how pleased I was with information, help and expert knowledge that I received from you during the 3 day seminar that I attended (one day portrait studio based workshop and two days wedding on location). I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is keen in pursuing a interest in portrait/wedding photography. Since attending the course I have gained my Licentiateship with Royal Photographic Society, this was achieved by including some of the images taken on the course. I had been doing photography as a hobby for several years but had very little experience of studio work i.e. the studio lighting set ups, poses etc but what I learned from you increased my enthusiasm and encouraged me to set up as self employed offering both wedding and portrait photography services. We have now changed our garage into a small studio which is gradually getting used more and more. The wedding photography side of the business again is increasing slowly this is mainly through word of mouth; this year I have got 6 booked already which isn't bad as I'm not advertising yet! I am at the moment running my business alongside my part-time office job but hopefully in the future I may be able to give up and concentrate on photography full-time! Thanks again Paul A McKay LRPS
I would just like to say what a great time I had in December and i learned so much of course. Sorry I’ve had to send this to the info e-mail but couldn't find any other. Oh yes did you gain a black padded jacket because i do believe it could be mine, don't worry i don't need it so you can bin it. Everyone loved all the photo's I took and commented how all the models were stunning the young ones and the older ones too, as you can image I now have a queue of willing friend models all wanting photo's taken, (all for free) they think and for the moment I have a studio to use locally, for the printing I have found a diamond of a person who not only colour corrects my work but gives me 25% discount, but having trouble with suitable framers as the one I’ve just used were very helpful and is run by disabled people (even the frame making) but they are extremely slow and still not had a final invoice, so sadly while I thought I would help support them I’m afraid to say I will have to find a better and quicker framer. All of you demonstrated the techniques with a friendly approach, and a professional level quality. Sorry about the delay in emailing you but I have been more or less 'on the road' since returning. I wanted to thank you so much for my week and for all your care and attention......it was a very slickly run operation yet also oddly relaxing! We covered all you advertised and there was no waste of time which I found impressive. Though I was learning all week and being pushed I was not tired!! Of course it is nearly time to come back for a refresher course.....I still have a mental block with light and which way to think!!! What's new, says you! Need to practice! I hope you get lots of new bookings as I have been telling everyone who will listen.....AND I couldn't recommend the New Westcliffe Hotel enough. Thanks for that Paul. Definitely I had my misgivings when I arrived in the other 'establishment' on the Sunday. The course would have been a disaster for me thinking each day that I would have to return to it in the evening!! Just wanted to thank you and your staff for the course last week. I found the pace, variation and content excellent and very well structured. I was planning to resign from my current job at the end of the year and 'make a go of it' and the course has given me an even greater enthusiasm and inspiration to do this. I've spent the weekend looking back to the photos I've taken over the course of the last week and I don't think I've ever learnt so much in such a short space of time.
